Daicho Corporation was founded in Higashiomi City, Shiga Prefecture, in 1887. Since that time, the company has been engaged in the processing of Omi Jofu, and processes fabrics using technology developed based on a process derived from the processing of Omi Jofu. In the , which the company established, the raw fabric is made uneven by shrinking it at once during the desizing and scouring processes using a liquid flow dyeing machine, and then liquid flow dyeing is performed in a non-silkettable process. The fabric is then rubbed and dried without tension, resulting in a texture similar to that of the bleaching process.

Stylem offers a variety of soft fabrics with a wrinkled, washed appearance and a puffy feel by applying Daicho Corporation's Process to hemp, cotton, and other fabrics.
